What was Sharic X Studios?
It was a dream. A dream built upon the hopes of the wishes of a group of children. It all started a long time ago in the summer of 2010, June 7th if I'm to be specific. At the time, I've only just met Sharic 32X, who would go on to become one of the founding members of SXS (Sharic X Studios). I was only 12 years old, and was going through what I call, my "Sonic phase". I loved anything related to the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and even began creating my own characters. And it was my first successful character that I was pleased with, Sharic, that became the name stapled to every social media account I've had, and still is to this day is. Believe me, go look at my YouTube account.
Sharic X was the name I chose to use while using the Flipnote Hatena service that Flipnote Studio offered. Flipnote Studio was an animation software that was available for free on the Nintendo DSi. My friends and I truly loved the creative freedom that we were offered. Stick battles, sprite animations, hand drawn animation; all of that was available to us and many others. We were able to create things from our imagination that only we were able to convey. It was a golden age of flipbook animation, if I may call it that. The greatest inspiration for my work was one by Koolzone. He's gone by many names, but the Koolzone name stuck forever. With the arrival of Sonic sprites thanks to the work of Shadow624, Koolzone began animating a 3 part series animation, Sonic vs Mecha Sonic. This inspired many flipnote animators to create their own sprite animations, inspired by Koolzone. And I was one of them. Sharic 32X and I began our own spin-off, Sonic vs Silver Sonic. Unfortunately, procrastination got the best of us and it was never completed. However, Flipnote Hatena was closing its services on May 23, 2013. On that last day, I uploaded the completed version of the first part of Sonic vs Silver Sonic. It wasn't the best thing we could've done. But it was close enough. At least we completed something to leave behind.
I've been involved in many so-called projects, or attempts, to create something. Art, video games and animations. Unfortunately, due to the course of life, none have been completed. The closest anything came to being completed was a demo of a video game in the works, Knight Tale. It's still lurking out there on the internet, a complete demo, yet with a game breaking glitch. I was never able to complete it, the original files were long lost. But perhaps someday it will resurface in a wholesome and completed state.
After meeting more people that would later become not only members of SXS but also my some of my greatest friends, we created a YouTube channel on February 17, 2015. It was a joint channel on which we would play video games for comedic purposes. We had two main series, Monday is Mineday and Cube World Z, while I was also working on a playthrough of Earthbound. It was a fun time that we shared, but it did not last long with the deletion of the channel on September 4th, 2016. The memories of everything we've done remain vivid and clear.
So what is in store for us now? We have become a new group known as Rise Beyond Reality. I could not delete this site as there is a lot of nostalgia and memories tied to it. But I did want to change something to it; make it timeless. And so, this is the Sharic X Studios legacy site. What started as a fun dream in 2010 carried itself high until 2014, peaking once again in 2016 and slowly dying down in 2018. There are so many memories tied to this name, Sharic X Studios, and I am truly thankful for each and every one who has made this experience possible.
Thank you everyone! Writing for the last time,
Sharic X
